This standard 12 oz. tavern cocktail shaker was made for classic drinks! Enjoy a Manhattan, why don't you?
The original Manhattan was invented around 1870 and has been an old reliable standby ever since. The liquor is really given a chance to shine. In a shaker, combine ice, 2 oz. rye whiskey or bourbon, ½ oz. sweet or vermouth, and 1-2 dashes of bitters. Shake. (Or stir!) Strain into chilled triangular cocktail or coupe glass. Garnish with a cherry or lemon twist.
The Manhattan has picked up several different variations over the years. The Manhattan dry is made with dry vermouth. A Manhattan perfect is made using half dry, half sweet vermouth. The Manhattan is made with sweet vermouth, plus a spoonful of syrup from Maraschino cherries.
This set features a base, straining lid, and cap. The cap also works as a measured jigger for up to 1¾ oz. Shaker measures 7" high and 3" in diameter. Imprinting available. Replacement caps are sold separately.
